Kindra Whalen Community Integration & Job Preparation Specialist
Kindra is a busy mother of four and have been working at the Farmer's House for the past 3 years. Before moving to the Weston area Kindra worked as a paraeducator for the Falls City Nebraska public schools in the Life Skills classroom. What I enjoy about the Farmer's House Market are the dedicated workers that come out with their class or volunteer weekly thoroughly enjoying each job that is there for them to do. I've meet some of the best people through this program.
Brenda Knutson Community Integration & Job Preparation Specialist
I have spent most of my adult life teaching. My education is in early childhood education and elementary education. After getting an Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education, I started my career working in a daycare facility. Then I got a BS in Elementary Education and went on to teach second and fourth grades. I have also taught inmates in a federal correctional facility to get their GEDs. I then quit working outside the home and have spent more than fifteen years homeschooling my four children. I feel God has given me the gift of instructing others and find my work at The Farmer's House Market very rewarding and a joy to be able to do.
The Farmer’s House Market Staff
In life, I have discovered the most rewarding experience is when I am helping others. I graduated from Northwest Missouri State University, in Maryville Missouri with a teaching degree. I have grown up on the family farm with my three brothers and have an appreciation for rural life. I have chosen to combine my knowledge of teaching and farming to guide, support, and encourage the farmers at the Farmer's House. I find my job to be rewarding and I enjoy the opportunity to spend time with our youth and adults helping them find success and happiness in their everyday life.
