Community Integration

Social Enrichment

This structured program provides meaningful activities in local communities, including vocational training, academic advancement and avenues for using special talents and abilities.

Our goal is to increase autonomy and self-reliance, empower choices, maximize dignity, and encourage positive social interactions and healthy lifestyles. Through the cultivation of individual talents and promotion of self-determination skills, people with disabilities make contributions to the cultural and economic life of our community.

We believe that all people can be creative in a collaborative, supportive environment. We foster self-expression and creativity through art activities conducted in our Margaret Nerman Studio (North Kansas City), a vibrant art space and gallery where individuals create, exhibit, and sell their work.

Program activities occur weekdays. Admission is based on available openings and individuals meeting our admissions criteria.
