The Farm
The Farmer’s House provides innovative community-based programs for youth and adults with developmental disabilities (our Farmers). A supportive, positive environment is the foundation of our structured programs which emphasize meaningful activities that support the identification, acquisition and retention of personal, social and vocational skills. Services are offered in Weston and Platte City, Missouri and in Westwood, Kansas. Our goal is to empower individuals to live a meaningful life and encourage positive interactions through social, recreational, vocational and transition services.

Early Work Experience

Providing vocational exploration and job skills development experiences for middle and high school students in the context of our Social Enterprises.

Employment Services

Providing career planning, job exploration and development, placement, job coaching and retention activities based on individual abilities, skills and interests.

Community Integration

Providing meaningful activities in local communities, including vocational training, academic advancement and avenues for using special talents and abilities.

Social Enrichment

Providing social, wellness, life-skills and art activities on-site and throughout the community during select week nights and weekends.
